GÁTT Nordic Arts Festival 2024
This year, the GÁTT Festival—an independent arts festival that brings together Nordic artists from various disciplines—was celebrated in August. Our creative journey began with in-depth research, which ultimately led us to the concept of the 'Midnight Sun,' a captivating phenomenon in Nordic countries during summer when daylight never ends.
We developed a series of gradients drawn from the colors of the national flags. These gradients transition from light at the top to dark at the bottom, symbolizing the contrast between the continuous daylight in the north and the gradual darkening towards the south during the night.
To further enhance the design, we incorporated images from the festival applying a special treatment that allowed them to blend seamlessly into the gradients. This approach was inspired by European expressionism, giving the visuals a timeless and evocative feel.
Special thanks to Anna Jarosz and the GÁTT team.
This project was developed in close collaboration with Ángel García*. Festival’s photography by Lida-Liina Linnea. Project photography with the inmense help of Edu San Valentín.
*We truly enjoyed working on this project together and hope you like it as much as we do!
